Native Fish of the Clinton River
#1
August River Walk - Native Fish of the Clinton River

Dear River & Lake Enthusiasts -

You are cordially invited to join CRWC for our August River Walk! This
two-part series will share with you the wonderful native fish of the
tributaries of the Clinton River.

CRWC Member Bob Muller will present his lifelong interest in native
fisheries on Wednesday, August 11th from 7 - 8:30 pm in the small conference
room of the Rochester Hills Public Library. The library is located at: 500
Olde Town Road across from the Post Office in downtown Rochester. This
informational presentation will consist of slides from decades of sampling
fish. You'll be amazed at the spectacular images of breeding fish.right
here in the Clinton River Watershed! (If you're planning on joining us on
Wednesday, please RSVP to heather@crwc.org.)

Streamside fish sampling will take place on Saturday, August 14th at 10 am
in Stony Creek at Van Hoosen Farm in Rochester Hills (off of Tienken Road,
east of Rochester Road). Come prepared to do some wading in the stream or
help with aquaria to study these fish. We'll sample with nets and have
extra waders for folks to borrow if you want to get in the river. Don't
forget your camera and sunscreen!

Many of you saw an overview of Bob's native fish collection at the CRWC
Annual Meeting in April. Please consider joining us on Wednesday and/or
Saturday to see the benefits of watershed planning and ecological
protection.

Hope to see you soon!

Heather
