Went fishing for some smallies in the narrows for a couple hours had good success with jigs. They were pretty active. The highlight of the trip came however, when I was reeling in a smallie when about 3 feet from the shore a nice 35++ Tiger decided it wanted my smallie instead and off it went with it. After my excitement settled down, I realized I had no chance of getting my first muskie considering i was using 4 pound test line and no steel leader. I did managed to hang on to it for a few minutes before the teeth cut the line. It was pretty cool to see that fish gobble up the smally. I think I will to go back and try to get a musky.

Good luck on your muskie fishing . I would recomend some heavier line to fish in the narrows with all the rocks in there . I fish 10# line throwing jigs and senkos there . That way I don't lose so much gear . Save the 4# for the crappie . Have you went after the perch in Pineview this year with any luck ?
