[cool][#005028]For those of us that are older than dirt, one of our many tackle boxes must be filled with antique lures.[/#005028]
[#005028]What is the oldest lure that still works for you?? How about one from your Dad or G/Dad's collection?[/#005028]

Sorry, no clue. I don't think either of them really did any fishing other than when they were kids.
I'm trying to start a family trend.

[cool][#005028]My Dad made many wooden plugs. I don't think it was a matter of him pursuing a hobby but money was really tight during the depression. One of these days I will give them a work out. Although I would hate to lose any of them.[/#005028]

I've got a collection of pops lures I found cleaning out the shed.Mostly spinners and one bass plug he carved by hand.My faverite is a Indiana Spinner by Pflueger with the card board still on the lure.I'd guess it was bought back in the early fifties.

No Dryrod, I put them into display frames and they hang on the wall. For sentamental reasons I couldn't use them. You know you would lose one if you didn't want to, Murphys Law.

[cool][#005028]Hey there gdn443, Good idea - never thought about a display case for some of my old collectible lures. I have my Dad's old bamboo fly rod hanging in my family room, so why not display his old lures.[/#005028]

I wish I had Pops old Battenkill by Orvis to hang up. I learned how to flyfish with it and didn't realise that no other rod since then could match up to it. What a ROD!!!
