Strawberry Help
#1
I am headed to Strawberry with a couple of buddies on Saturday afternoon in tubes, just wanted to know if anybody had any good ideas of where to go, and what to use. I fish a lot up during the winter, but not alot during this time of year. any ideas would be appreciated.

If you fish in the winter thru the ice , I bet the same set-up will work now too . Just need to find the fish . They have been deep in 40+foot of water , but can be close to shore early and late in the day or if the rain and wind are going . Up by the dam worked for me last weekend fishing from shore with jigs . White and green jigs worked .
What type of fishing are you doing ? Bait ? Fly ? Jig ? Hardware ? I guessing that trolling is not what you will be doing . Might be better to give help if I knew what type of fishing you are doing . Lots of post on Strawberry here to get info from too . Best thing is to find the fish even if you are on shore .

Welcome to the board DMR. Its about time you decided to join. As far as Strawberry goes my best advice is to pick the bait of your choice (wooley bugger, tube jig, big ol wiggly nimph, or whatever). Then cast it out as far as you can and let it settle for a short while. Then wiggle it and twitch it a little. And if nothing then wiggle it and twitch it again. When you feel the fish hit then just
SET DE HOOOOOOOOOOK! Then yell FISH ON! Then hand the rod to your brother so he can reel in the big one!!!!![Smile] Just the small price to pay for the boat ride! Welcome to the board brother!
