Ok , I just wanted to share this with you all. This picture is of my brother with a very nice Striper. It is 40lbs and is 46 inches in length. Wish we had some like this around here.
The Striper was caugth off the Elizabeth Islands by Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, about two weeks ago.

Nice fish!!! Does your brother call them Rockfish? My inlaws in Maryland do. Maryland state record is 67.8 lbs. I've always wanted to take a trip back east when the Rockfish and Bluefish were around. I'm usually there around Christmas, but by then they're hard to come by. We mostly catch Spot, Croaker, and a few Speckled Trout around Christmas.

Looks like some GREAT fish! Thanks for sharing. There are stripers in Powell that are bigger than that though. Just not a lot of people catching them. Last summer some dude weighed and measured one they found floating that would have been a new world record had it actually been caught fishing.
