Perch hunt? Jordanelle or?
#1
Is there anything closer than Jordanelle that is good for perch? Closer to Salt Lake City that is.

Rockport is about the same distance as Jordanelle from SLC but you dont have to pay an entrance fee to shore fish or tube from the west side. The perch are a little bigger too. Trout and bass are there in good numbers as well, but aren't as big as a rule as they are in the X.

Thanks for the tip. The no-fee may have made up my mind for me.

Cheers.

There is always Mantua, although I haven't been catching perch like I was.

Good deal. I am going to see how I do with my little Fish Finder. I have fished Rockport from the Toon before so I know it is pretty deep by the dam. Will be launching from the dam area and will try some finessing of the vert presentation for some fish.

Thanks.

Hey, I was at rockport and jordanelle yesterday, don't bother going!! I caught 1 perch at rockport and had a single nibble at Jordanelle. The water is cold and cloudy ---signs of thermocline turnover at both waters.
