Quote:SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Four duck hunters are hospitalized this morning after their boat capsized on Utah Lake.

Utah County Sheriff's Sergeant Spencer Cannon says all four should recover, but says they likely would not have survived the night had they not been rescued.

The group included three brothers and one of their sons. They put their boat into the south end of the lake near Lincoln Beach to go duck hunting. But when they didn't return home on time, family members called authorities early this morning.

Cannon says he's not sure yet how it happened, but the boat somehow capsized. The three brothers wound up treading water for about nine hours while hanging onto the side of the upside down boat. Cannon says they were suffering from hypothermia and were quite fatigued.

In fact, one rescuer had to jump in to keep one man's head above water when they arrived after 3:30 this morning. Cannon estimated the water temperature near 70 degrees.

The 12-year-old boy and two dogs were safe on the upside down boat.

Cannon says NO one was wearing a life jacket.
