Thanks for the heads up. I've been useing that color for a few months now after doing some testing for them. It is much stronger than most of the other colors that they produced.[cool]

How do you think this line will stand up to a braided like?(I.E. Tuff Line, or PP)

All the braided lines i've used were not only considerably stronger than ANY mono line i've used, but they also have NO stretch. But no stretch is NO GOOD. The stretch in Mono line acts like a shock absorder for really large, frisky, hard ass fish. With braid, you don't have that. And I lost alot of fish because of it. I know the new mono lines they are comming out with are considerably stronger than before, i'm interested in trying out that new Big Game now that I know someone has used it and it's quality is what you would expect from Berkley. Though braided line cool in it's own right, i'd keep it on your bream and crappy reels, it has no place in big game fishing, now that's just my opinion, i'm shure there are plenty of guys that will disagree with me.

The MAIN thing I like about the braided line is the diameter of it, I can fit about twice as much line. and when I have a 200LB fish on the other end its kinda nice to know you arnt going to be looking silly if you get spooled. and as we all know a 200+lb fish can do it if they try.

LOL! I know what you mean. I've watched the line peel off a reel more than once. And, there is no reason you can't put one or two hundred yards of mono at the head to be safe. However, my theory is that if what you start out with on the reel can't do the job, don't put it on at all. And that boils down to the equipment too. What are you fishing for, and, are you even equiped for it. If you're using a tiny reel, and having to use braided line to make up for the difference in order to buy enough time to catch him, then you've either got wood for sport or you ran out of mono to spool it up with. And another thing about braid. Alot of people use those darn roller eyes(I use to), nothing likes to get hung in the crack of a roller eye more than braided line. People make the mistake of using a 50 to 80 pound class rod with 50 pound braid. ( I DID) They don't realize that the braid is so signifigantly smaller in diameter, it fits quite snugly in the crack of a roller eye. Shortly after it sticks you can expect either the rod tip to snap or the line to break. (more often than not the braid outlast the rod tip) So, if you're not an experiance angler, i'd say braid isn't the way to go. And even though it has the advantage of the smaller diameter, to me it doesn't out way the many advantages of mono.

Just like the afformentioned had stated. The mono cannot compare to braided. We can only compare apples to apples.
As far as mono lines goes, I have found the Blue to be far superior to many other types of line and very affordably priced. It does receive some stretch but it does take a lot of effort. I use that particular line when I know that I will be fishing in and around kelp beds in the ocean.
I have also found that line to be especially tough for catfishing. The catfish don't seem to notice the color. I wouldn't recommend it for trout though. Especially since the blue is the last color to dissappear under water.
Another nice thing about that line is that you can handle bigger fish with it and still use a smaller line than you would expect to use.[cool]

I was doing a test for them awhile back. They send me 2000yds and expect me to respool everything that I have. That is way to many reels to respool for each test. I only spooled a few and have some left over.
I did find some in the Kmarts around southern California. There may be some in your area as well. I don't think that Cabelas or the Bass Pro Shops will carry it for awhile.
You may want to check some of your other saltwater fishing tackle shops. If you can't find any then I can mail you some spools from a store out here. We can exchange personal information through a Private Message.
