Am I first this year to ice fish?
#1
I've snowshoed several miles up to a "secret" lake that I really can't reveal---I'm sorry! I didn't hesitate to walk out on 2 1/2 inches of ice and sure enough the bows and brookies cooperated nicely. Not much size to them but fun to pull something through an ice hole at last. It was quite the giddy feeling as I chisled the hole and dropped my ice fly and waxworm in. The hole was easy to cut too, only 3 hacks and I hit water.

[size 1]Just let someone know in case you get into trouble!! Thin ice and cold water lead to a bad scene!!![/size]

fish1on is correct - you don't want to go ice fishing or floattubing solo. Glad you had fun but we all need to be careful. I'll go with you sometime soon - lemme know.

[cool]Yep, I think you are the first one this year. Unless you are talking about 2004 in general [Tongue][Tongue]. Congrats on your catch. You've got brass balls, dude!! I don't go out there until 4 inches. 2-3 weeks, and I'll hit Scofield.
