I tell you what boys, the braid speedster is one bad ass lure. It stays in the water at over ten knotts, without any add ons or heavy wieghts. It pulls true and comes in those great colors we all love, especially the old faithful black and purple, and black and orange. I'm going to try a little something with them that I think will kick them up a notch like Emeril. I went to the local craft store and got some of those long, shiney stickers, and I put a pin stripe across the side and on the bottom. Wahoo like a little bling bling, and so do I. I figure the shine will get there attention from a distance, and then when they get in close, I still have the benefit of contrast using the black and purple coloring, so they can see it at the high speeds I troll. I'm also going to drop a chum bag in the water. I'm going to float it using balloons, and drag my lures by it at a distance and see what happens. I figured I would take some squid out there just in case too. You never know when squid might come in handy. I also bought a couple 32 ounce in-line sinkers. I figured I would give it a try and see if they really do keep the lures down a little deeper. If they do, they'll prove to be well worth the two in a half bucks they cost. I know physics say that they will eventually come back up, but I have a different theory. I think the wieght will simply keep the nose of the lure down, so it will dive deeper. We'll see. catch yall after the fishing trip.
