Hi Folks
picked up a few white fish on the weber (above Rockport) Saturday.
Used a few black bead headed paterns. Was a good time. They seemed to be held up in slow moving deeper holes.
have fun

if you like catching white fish try down by spring chicken inn. walk down to where the river passes under the freeway. there is a big deep undercut bank. that they stack hevy in. in winter they are in deep slow runs most the time. try some larger fly patterns. i used to kill them with a big #6 sized fly that looked like a huge mouning dunn. in white and brown. i would tie this fly with a #6 hook for dubbing i used fly line that chnged colors brown green black the old stuff. and a chicken hackle first i lay the hackle down and atach tailthen wrap forward about 3/4 s the way to head wrap the hackle thick at head and finish body up and tie. fish it deep. have fun i lerned this from an old man who has since past to the bigger pond. and the big brown realy dig it to.

I would like to see what that fly looks like. Im a definate rookie so Im just getting familiar with the names. So far Ive had all my success on the bead headed nyphms dragging them 8 inches or so off the bottom.

Well it's posted if you hope the barracade if you were getting off the freeway. According to the fish cops it dosn't have to be posted. As long as the field is being used you can go on it or up the water either. I sure wise we could get the High water mark rule here in utah.
Anyone want to help me out with a petition?

I'm willing to help out with that petition drive. I know the DWR is trying to buy up access rights. They aquired access from my dad on 20 acres he has on the Strawberry River below Starvation Res. a few years ago. But I think a high water access law would be good. And the Dwr could put those dollars that go into aquiring access rights to other projects. Maybe we could get a mod to stick this at the top and see how much support we can get here to start.
