I don't think that those little brown things floating in the water by that guy were tree branches!

Wow! I can only imagine how those yakkers feel after something like that, especially the one caught in the undertow. Adrenaline!

I've tried to check it out 2 or 3 different times and all I ever get is a blank screen.

There was a lengthy discussion on one of my kayak fishing boards if it was real or not. The concensus was that it is. At the beginning you can see a swirl they are paddling toward. It is likely they were chasing the breaching whale and it came back up in an unexpected spot. Also, notice how the splash falls perfectly on the water chop. And finally, how would they get that yak that far underwater to come popping up like that. I think it's the real deal. It even has the yelling on the audio portion.

Sorry all this is a snippet from a commerical that aired in Korea for a sports drink. This was all faked. The uban legend pages debunked this one years ago. But it is still cool to watch.

Are you sure it's the same one?. I saw the sports drink one with the sperm whale. They had this same discussion on the kayak fishing boards.

PA,
She might like the attached pics my friend sent me this week from La Jolla. It's spooky to see any whale in a kayak, but also very intense and exciting. The one spouting is a California Gray, the others are Risso's dolphins which are like a small whale. Way cool.
