Well I ventured up to rockport for the afternoon. Fished from 11 to 4 and caught lots of perch, no trout. I was fishing on the main road side about mid-lake in 45 ft of water. Small ice flies near the bottom were the ticket. Mealies and perchmeat were the bait of choice. About 4 to 5 inches of ice.....3 safe clear inches I would say. Laters fishers!

[cool]Thanks for the report, catfish77. I can't wait to fish it on Saturday, although there is a 40% chance of snow in SLC. Wonder what the chance of snow is up there? I think I'm still going anyway!!

How were the edges of the ice? Did you need a plank or have to jump to get out?
