Scofield and Rockport
#1
Hey guys sorry this is a kinda late post, but I wanted to give a report for Scofield (Saturday) and Rockport (Sunday).

Scofield: Got there at about 8am and found about 16 feet of water, using Genz Glo Worm jigs tipped with waxies, my daughter and I both had limits of nice 15 - 17 inch Bows in about an hour. Two others in our group both had 2 or 3 keepers in the same time span. At about 10 o'clock or so the bigger fish stopped biting and we could only catch little 6 - 8 inchers. Fish were on the finder all day but the big ones just stopped. The ones we did catch were at about 10 feet. By the way it was 1 degree when we got there and there was nearly 2 feet of ice.

Rockport: Got there about 7:30am went out off the boat ramp into 50 feet of water. There were lots of people fishing and everybody caught perch till about 9 or so then it kinda tapered off. Caught a few on waxies then popped out some eyeballs and they worked really well. There were fish on the finder all the way from the ice to the bottom for most of the day. I tried to target some trout but couldn't get them to hit. Me and my 2 daughters took home 21 nice perch. mmm mmm good 4 inches of clear, hard, slippery, and really noisy ice!

Thanks for the report and welcome to BFT.

I was at Rockport Saturday on the west side out from the marina and had similar luck in the short time I was there.

Rockport has some nice perch in it this year, and they are tasty!
