My verizon phone seems to work no problem up there, my fiance a few weeks ago planned all of our stuff with the cater for our wedding while sitting on the ice up there. I might be up there on Friday morning too, just myself going at this time.

Don't know conditions, but last time I was up there got several calls from home and work. I have Verizon. I'm taking a friend and his 3 kids up on Sat morning. They have never ice fished before.
Guess you'll be on Naughton Saturday. Good luck at the derby.

[cool]Haven't been up there in a week and a half but have heard that there's a few inches of snow on the ice making it not slick anymore and easier to pull your sled down to the ice rather than on mud like before. Also, supposedly there's now 7 inches of ice, so it keeps getting thicker and stronger. I have AT&T and my phone works great up there, and Verizon usually has better coverage, so I'm sure you'll be fine up there. The fishing is still hot so you should kick some butt and take names on them Perchies, and if you real up about 10 feet off the bottom you can probably get your Trout limit too after nailing the Perch. Good luck, and give us a report! I hope to make it up there Monday Morning after the storm coming in on Sat/Sun.

Went up yesterday morning with 3 buddies. It snowed about an inch early then the sun came out and it was beautiful. Ice was about 7 inches thick. We fished over by the boat ramp and had our limits of perch in about 2 hours then moved closer in to get some trout. One guy caught 4 and 2 of them were pretty good ones about 18 inches long.

I plan on going to the Rock this afternoon. I'll give a full report on
'conditions ect. tomorrow morning. I HAVE A QUESTION : I've always fished the West side,would like to branch out and try the
East side by the boat ramp. My question is; How long is the State
Park pass good for once you puschase one? Anyone Know?

If you are referring to the annual parks pass it is good for twelve months after you purchase it.

No derby at Viva Naughton for me. I was planning on going up until a few days ago. The weather is looking horrible for the weekend and decided not to take the kids up in it. I'll probably just go somewhere here in Utah.

Kentofnsl, Thanks for the response regarding a pass at the Rock's
state park. Looking back,I guess I wasn't too clear about which
type of pass. I was referring to the $5.00 daily pass. At some locations a "daily" pass is good for 3 or 7 days. Perhaps it is
what it implies; "a daily pass only". Anybody Know?

$5.00 pass is good for only the date on the pass. One day only.

Hey CBR,
As it turns out I was fishing right next to you guys on Sat. 2/19 at rockport. DKSRenegade told me you were way up in the inlet. I walked all the way across the lake and caught about 8 rainbows up in there. I was by myself. I gotta quit being shy and actually use my radio.( I take it everywhere I just don't use it much). I saw DKS's Big Fish Tackle sticker on my way back to my truck and stopped to talk for a minute and he told me where most of the BFT guys were fishing. (Dang nice brown his son had iced!!).
