Great report to hear. I'm heading up with my 5 year old this morning. I’ll have my radio on 12 for anyone else coming up.

Hit Rockport this morning with some buddies from work. 3 of us in all... hit the 1st outhouse on the West side. Ice is 6+ inches, with some frozen slush and snow on top. Ice is in very good shape.
We had to leave at 11 a.m. to get to work for the afternoon. Left with the fish still biting, etc. Landed 30+ between us and having a fry tonight.
A couple of notes compared to "usual" Rockin reports. Fish were shallow today. Found nothing deep. I spent almost a hour hunting them down and finally found them in 35ft of water. Also, it was dead until about 9 a.m., then the switch went on. Just kept hitting and (as mentioned) were still hitting when we had to leave. A little different than the 7-10 window from before, etc.
Remember to move around. The ice was packed for a Friday and most people weren't moving much. The few groups that did were the only ones who found them. I know this is repetitive, but very important to remember for success at Rockport. It just cracks me up how people complain they aren't catching anything, but won't move. MOVE! Okay.. enough rambling... everyone get your butt up there and have some fun.
