Just read about this Columbia River Walleye Setup..... Maybe with a few mods this approach would work up in the bath tub....
Sweeper rig! I start out with a deep diving hotlips and remove the hooks then run 6-7ft leader with a 1/8 splitshot in the middle then attach a modified White storm swimin shad. (Modification) remove the jig head and replace with a pill float in the green color, in the belly I place a 3mm glass rattle so the rig floats upright then draw perch stripes on each side with a red belly with sharpie pens. I rig this with a light wire mustad 3/0 ostopuss hook, Sounds like a pain (but works) run the rig up river until the plug is digging the bottom, then pull the rod forward and let sweep back when the rig stops set the hook! On these big walleyes in the columbia this thing really works!
Just spreading the knowledge - hope the Eyes cooperate....
