I’m looking for a little help on a Flaming Gorge trip this summer. We want to do a three family (20 people) camping trip in June or July. We have a ski boat and such but are wondering about raft rentals for a day trip on the Green. I’ve done some internet researching and we have some good ideas but I thought I’d ask around for suggestions.
What are some of your favorite/suggested areas for camping, raft rental etc.

I grew up camping at the gorge and it completely depend's on what type of camping you are looking for. If you like tree's Fire Fighter's close to the Flaming Gorge Lodge is your best bet for a group that size. If you want to be on the water and still have camping Facilities then Mustang Ridge is alway's a safe bet. The only reason I am not mentioning some of my favorites on the other side of the lake is that you said you want to Raft the river and those are the Two closest campground's for your situation. Rafting the river is fun and I assume that you will be putting in at the damn and going down to little hole and if that's the case you can either get a raft a the Flaming Gorge lodge or get one at the Gas station in Dutch John.
Good luck if you have any ??? P.M. me

I can even be more specific. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law MUST HAVE FLUSHING TOILETS (and preferably shower facilities.) This is definetly a trip to accomidate the infrequent camper types. Just getting them out of a hotel/cabin and into a tent is a challenge.

[black]Try the KOA in Manila. That is the best public campground on the lake. It's a very nice place that is well kept with full ammenties compared to most of the others. If you camp there it's not a bad drive down to the Green River to go rafting for the day. You better decide quick though. it can be near impossible to get decent sites now for this coming summer.[/black]
