Great minds must think alike, tr, because I've been wondering the same thing.
I took my eldest son to Pelican for the first time last May, around the middle of the month. (I believe it was Memorial Day weekend, but I'm not sure.)
After talking with a few knowledgable folks, it appeared I could have made the first trip to Pelican a week or two earlier, around the first of May or the end or April.
Going towards the middle to the end of May, I believe I just missed the bluegill spawn, so, as I stated earlier, I'm really hoping for some good reports so that I can time it a little better this year.
Also, I'd like to hear from any of you who live in the Basin as to the amount of snow and rain the Basin's received this winter and spring. Does the water outlook look good for Pelican this year?
Hopefully it will fill a bit more this year due to the above average precipitation Utah has received recently.
