Utah Lake 4-16-05
#1
We launched at Lincoln Beach around 4:30 Saturday afternoon and fished around the spring with jigs. Our targeted fish was white bass. We had no takers so we motored over to the Island where we caught one white bass and one seagull. The seagull ended up being the best fight of the evening. We then motored over to the West shore line where we caught one more white bass. We motored over to Lincoln and fished till dark for some eyes, again no takers. All in all it is still good to get out. In a few more weeks it is going to warm up and get real good.

Welcome to BFT, and thanks for the report. Did you play catch and release with the gull, or did you try some gull steaks[Wink]

I'll bet if he did eat the seagull, he could give us all a pretty good description of what "landfill surprise" would taste like. [Tongue]

I have found gull to taste to much like golden eagle so I just reeled him down (I caught him in flight)and released him so he could crap on me another day. My son made a funny comment when he said "Holy James and the giant peach dad". This is only funny if you have read the book or seen the movie James and the giant peach.
