Crazy stuff happening in Cache Valley right now, fellas. Just turned on the 12:00 news, and they are saying that the Logan River overflowed it's banks, and the Blacksmithfork is doing the same. A canal in Richmond just broke as well. People are sandbagging like crazy up there, and Mantua and Brigham City are having problems too, from what I heard. Don't we have a few board members up that way??

This may sound sardonically with the damages in the $$$, look at the bright side of things, we won't have to worry about Willard being drawn down along with other lakes and reserviors!!![angelic]

Last night around 6 p.m. in southwest Provo the rain came down in buckets for quite awhile.
I sincerely feel sorry for those who are being flooded around our state, but it's certainly a blessing to see so much continued storminess in other areas.
I think it's going to be amazing to see how much Utah Lake will rise this spring and early summer, which will translate into more submerged vegetation for a better spawn and great waterfowling in the fall for us duck hunters to hide in.
Once again, however, best wishes to any of you who may need to resort to sandbagging to keep from losing property to runoff and flood waters.[unsure]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]On channel 2 news, they said that Mantua is at the brink of spilling it's banks. Brigham City, which is down stream and already having it's problems with flooding could be in worse shape if significant amounts of water come down from Mantua.[/size][/black][/font]

The Blacksmith and Little Bear are over their banks and the Logan is getting close. It's just a bit too wet here in Cache Valley right now.

I live in Cache Valley and just went for a ride during lunch to check out the rivers. The Logan is overflowing in most places we went to. We checked out the Black Smith in one area and it was at the brink of going over in that spot. Many people here at work have gone home to bail water out of the basement. I started raining last night about 11:00 hasn't really stopped since then. A few roads have been closed due to the river going over the road instead of under it. I've heard Newton res. is full and I was fishing at Hyrum Tues. and it was full then.

from a rain guage near my home in Logan we've recieved 1.37" since midnight and 4.26" for the month of April. Virtually every creek and river in the valley is out of its banks today. The sheriffs dept. just asked for volunteers to help fill sandbags.

Yes, There is alot of flooding here in cache valley. Mostly in the low lying areas. 6th West is closed and Officials are diverting traffic. Logan river is running over its banks near the golf course and so is Blacksmiths fork. It looks like the bass ponds on the golf course are overflowing. Maybe we will be bass fishing on Logan river this summer!! Chicken.

Here is a close up of Second Dam on the Logan River. Can you see the dam?
It is under water.

[cool]Wow, I didn't see any bass in those ponds when I golfed there with my brother (lives in Mendon) a couple of weeks ago. Sure saw a ton of little stocked rainbow trout though. There were hundreds of them.
