[cool]Sunday, fishing central Estero Bay with the Gitken party, we caught and released two snook, a redfish, sheepshead to 17 inches, nice sand bream to 11 inches, keeper mangrove snapper, and a 17 inch black drum, all on shrimp. Monday, we began fishing at the artificial reefs off Bonita Beach with the Bialkowski party, but caught only small stuff, so we moved to another spot off the beach, where we caught jack cravalle for bait, and released barracuda to 49 inches. We also got keeper mangrove snapper, and a nice 25 inch redfish, on shrimp. Tuesday, we fished Estero Bay with the Gibbs party. We caught and released mangrove snapper, sheepshead to 15 inches, jack cravalle and stingray. Fishing 8 miles off Bonita Beach with the Contino party on Saturday, we loaded up on keeper mangrove snapper--caught seventeen of them, along with grunts, porkfish & triggerfish, and released grouper shorts. we lost two or three big fish to the porpoise that followed us all morning.
