Willard Walleyes
#1
I'm thinking of heading up to Willard in the next week or so to try for walleyes from shore. Does anyone know any good areas to try.

Now that the walleye are done spawning it will be harder to catch them near the shore but the early morning and late afternoon would be the best time if they are looking for food. Also when the shad spawn you might find them near the shore chasing the baby shad, when the water is rough and choppy they we also come near the shore. There are many places you can fish the lake if you are shore fishing, I can post a map of the last if you haven't see one. The S/W corner and along the West dike are places you can easily fish from shore, you can also fish the north dike near the outlet but it is a pay to park area. Good luck. WH2

The only eyes I've caught from shore are right out of the south marina to the south and over off the west dike about 3/4 mile from the NW lightpole. And all these were night fishing with a bright moon. Good Luck if ya go out.
