i've been fishing bird island for about 5 yrs and have never seen the water level rise to cover it. doug miller did a show out there years back, which got me interested in fishing there. on his show, the island was under water and you had to have sonar to be able to find it. by the time i got out there, the island was exposed, and has been ever since. what do you think the chances are of it going under this year? anyone been out lately?

[cool] last time i went to the island the only way ya knew it was there was maybe a couple of birds and a few sticks that stuck up and yes 1 brand new prop lolif we get the water this year we did in 83 it will cover but i dont think there is that much.....

I was scopin' out marker 19 Sunday and the island stuck out like a sore thumb. I dont think we'll see it totally covered this year.

I WAS OUT THERE ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND AS TUBE DUDE SAID THERE IS ALOT OF WEED GROTH. TREE GROTH ALSO THERE ARE TREES ABOUT 15 FT TALL ALL OVER IT AND A CAZILLION COCKLE BURS, AND MOORE SPIDERS THAN ON LINCON BEACH. EVERY WHERE I WALKED SPIDER WEBS CROSSED AND STUCK TO MY FACE AND BODY. I DOUT IT WILL GO UNDER THIS YR .
