What's with all the female fish?
#1
OK, I was just sitting here and I realized something. All the years that i've been fishing and the thousands of fish that i've caught in my life time, the majority have been female. It doesn't matter if it's fresh water or saltwater, species, or time of year. I release most of my fish, but the ones I keep have mostly been female. Why is that? For instance. Every single catfish i've caught this season has been a female. Not a single male fish. I do know that in most species the female is larger, sometimes twice the size of the male, but............. The male fish still have to eat, even if the famale fish have to eat more to sustain thier size. Any thoughts?
