I got bored last night so I finally decided to check out willow since its only a few miles from my house. When I got there I was blown away by how many people there were, wow. I let each of my kids catch a trout and then got out of there. I looked for bft stickers on vehicles and tackleboxes but didnt see any, cant wait to mean some of you in person!If you want your kids to havve fast action there i had good luck with a fly tipped with a salmon egg two feet below a bobber.

Willow is a good place to take kids. My girl caught a catfish there about a year ago. The nice thing is that it is not far from home so if the kids get bored, you can pack up and go. If kids loose interest they may not want to go fishing again.

Isn't there a kids playground there too?? Thats one of the reasons I was going to take Kasey down and let her fish for a while... I figured monkey bars and slides run a distant second to fishing in her book but at least there is a diversion if the fish aren't biting.... I've never been there before either... I tried once and got lost.... fortunately was man enough to admit it and got the heck out of the area..... [cool]
