Flaming Gorge Question

I am going camping up to the Gorge in July. We are planning on fishing and running the river one day. I want to camp somewhere semi close to the dam. Any good suggestions? I had heard mustang ridge, but looks like it gets pretty crowded. I want to be close to the water but in the trees as well. Which campground or area would be the best? Thanks

Hi tuber, try this link as it provides information on campgrounds, availability, and reservations. Most of the campgrounds require you to reserve online through this agency. We camped at the Deer Run CG las fall and it was very nice: trees, multiple tent sites, restrooms, and HOT SHOWERS.
