E-lake Report..

just got back from a run up the canyon.. stoped at E-lake to check the ice..
it is bracking up niceley right now.. i cought 2 in about 1 hour but could not get any minnows and my cast net has a hole in it..

but i think worms would work good up there now as well..
got some pic's while i was up there..

huntington is comeing off as well but there is only 4 or 5 small holes (20 foot by 20 foot) where the spinmgs run in on the east side.. looks like it is comeing up fast so a week from now should be some fine fishing up there as well..

Electric Lake looks like it has come up a lot. Did they finally get the hole plugged?

hey Kent.. the lake is up to about the same level it was last year at this time. but no i dont think they have fixed it..
i talked to a old friend that worked at the mine and they have called back all the workes to the mine and going to reopen it so now i have no idea whats going on with the hole in the bottom...
the plan as i last heard any thing on it was to seal the mine up let it fill with water pummping 1/2 the water back in lake as the mine fills up..

Good to hear about the ice finally coming off! Too bad about the mine though. I'll bet it's no fun working in there with all the water that is gushing into the mine shaft. It would be nice to find a good solution to the problem that would benefit both the lake and the mine. Oh well.

Wohoo![sly] It will be on when i get get back in june! Thats great news Ron! I havent had a chance to hit the ocean yet but the news about e-lake and huntington has all opf us excited. My family loves it up there you got us hooked on those lakes.Thanks for the reports.
