Mantua

Has anyone had any luck at Mantua yet?

I was there Sunday with my wife and son. We didn't get there till after noon, which is a bad thing, and we didn't catch anything. I tried jigs, spinners, rapalas, worms and powerbait.

It wasn't a total loss though, since I got to see my wife overreact to the sight of a garter snake, which is always entertaining[sly].

There was a guy trolling back and forth, and he said he'd caught a few small bass, but I don't know what he was using.

I thought that Mantua was an Artifical Lake only?

It was unitl most of the trout died. If I'm not mistaken the Fish and Game opened it to bait last year.

Yup, it was artificial only until Jan1 of this year.
