I just moved to WVC and decker lake is pretty close to my house. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what is swimmin in there besides the big carp i see rollin at dusk when i drive by? I'm hopin for kitties[sly]. and also any pointers on good holes/baits. Thanks a bunch.

I hear it is a enivormental clean up site that is still waiting to be cleaned up . Never know what you can catch but might be a good idea to put it back after hooking it .

welcome to the board Jason
never fished it but its my understanding there are cats, blue gills, white bass and largemouth bass ( i think ) in there
now as far as those crap go a 10# carp on a 4# outfit is good for a fishing fix any day for me!!

A guy I used to work with fished Decker Lake often. He caught carp, mud cats, channel cats, and an occasional white bass.

I fished that lake quite extensivly with an exfriend of mine last summer. I caught channel cats, mud cats, carp, white bass, largemouth bass, blue gill and walleye. Most of the fish were caught by the outlet. That's where the fish seem to congrigate most.

went over there for a few hours and did better then i thought caught two decent whites on a 1 inch soft craw. Then threw doughballs for 3 nice(5-7LB) carp. Got my bait freezer restocked so all in all a good day.I did see alot of fish by the inlet and outlet not much in between but it was pouring while i was there.
