Salem Pond Blues

Hey all. I went to Salem Pond with the wife.
I had to get the skunk off of me so I knew that would be D place.

After 1 hr of fishin for bows and no luck. I moved. Started fishin for the Crapie's and caught a slew. Not to mention a ton of smallies and largies..... all babies though.

It started to slow way down and I told the wife, "Biggens are commin in.." her quote "thats nice ."

Low and behold BOOM!!!!! landed my first BLUE Cat. He was AWSOME!!! I was gonna bring him home and eat'em but he was just too cool. Wife took a shot with the cam and I let the ol' boy go.

I will have to scan the pic and ost the ol' boy.

Wow! I didn't realize that there was anything in Salem pond besides the planter rainbows. Sounds like you had a good time! Congrats on you catch and release on the Blue. Was it as big as the 124 lb blue they caught in Mississippi? That was one fat fish!!!!

Oh GOD NO... that thing in IIL was a freak of nature.
It was also a good ol' true mud cat.
I caught a true blue.... he was just awsome.

I can't wait for the pic's to be done... I gotta show him and my itty bitty samll mouth... you will all love it...LOL<

I was told growing up that there were blues here in Utah, but your pic looks like the one I landed. Male wise that is.
