Big Willard Wipers
#1
Had a blast over the weakend chasing wipers at willard and takeing some guys out that have never been into the fish at willard first group was my one of my freinds and his dad. Jasons dad hasn't been fishing for over 10 years and used to be a fishing nut but lost interest and gave up the chase you should have seen his face when we got into those big whipers he had a blast and we all had are chance to real in some big fish they ranged from 24 to 18 inches all day with a couple of dinks mixed in the bag it was a good day to be at willard. The next group of guys I took out was from work and the day was a lot slower at first they had there boat and i was following them around for awhile with no luck the one guy was caching some small fish pushing 13 inches and was happy with his catch there boat was running low on gas and they were just going to head home I convinced them to pile in mine and give it a little more time boy were they glad they did! We caought some nice fish big whiper of the day was just a little over 20 inches but real wide an put up a hell of a fight we ended the day with around 6 fish not very many but just enought to get the guys excited and ready for another trip the one guy had a fish hit so hard he though he had a snag on at first [cool] it was a blast to see his face when we got it into the boat! he told me it was the bigest and funest fish he had ever cought I was happy to be able to help him get one it was a fun day on the water sorry no pics for you guys next time i will have a digital with me.

Thanks for the report, it sounds like you had some good fishing, did you catch any walleye? Also what were you using and how fast were you trolling? WH2

I can't tell you what we where using do to the upcoming fishing turnament but I will say biger lures seamed to put the biger fish in the boat and the speed varied all day long from as slow as the wind moving the boat to as fast as 3 mph I know that dosn't help much but its how it worked out for us that day real sparatic on the speed also we didn't hook up with any walley but we really werent out for them as much as for whipes, I wanted the new guys to have a blast and not get too bored, we all know how frustrating walley can be! I will start fishing hard for the walleys this weakend or maybee to day if i can swing out and will pm you if i get into them.
