Hit the lake today.
Unpleasant surprises awaited.
From last weeks 63 degree water temps, the temps had dropped to 53 degrees.
Now, any time I have seen a big drop in water temp like that, in the spring it usually means a shut down.
And it did.
Normally to combat that situation you downsize baits, go lighter in weight, and slow way down.
BUT...... of course I couldnt buy a bit of luck and hurricanne annie blew all day long.
No way to downsize or slow down.
Boat control was a nightmare, sensitivity sucked big time, and the fish were just overall un-cooperative.
So as a result, there were no big fish caught, just a couple dinks.
for five hours of fishing, all we could scrape up was 16 little buggers. And we had to work our butts off and fish in some really crappy places to get those few.
Heres a couple pics for your enjoyment. Enjoy them, cause we had to work hard for them.

Big thanks has to go out to James of Maniac custom lures. The bait that got it all kicked off for us was a 3.75" maniac reaper.

I guess I did get lucky in one area. I had me a good fishing partner who just didnt give up despite the poor conditions.
