What's Up Guys?!

I am here in Idaho for vacation and my buddy George Roth asked me if I wanted to go pre-fish with him on Owyhee Reservoir for a bass tournament ... I agreed of course and ended up fishing the tournament as an "observer" It was the states 1st B.A.S.S. qualifier of the year.

All of the fish I caught were over 2.5lbs. I didn't livewell any becuase I was an "observer"

BONEHEAD .... BONEHEAD .... BONEHEAD

I would have weighed in the top 3 and took home some cash.

Anyways,

Lake Owyhee is in Oregon, on the Idaho border. It's beautiful and full of monster smallies and Green Fish [largemouth].
I spanked my boaters little arse and never fished that lake before. It was fun!

I am headed out to Brownlee Reservoir this morning and will report on today's activities. Brownlee is a Dam on the Snake River. Very neat reservoir!

Beautiful place ! But, Clif, DOH !. As good as you are at bass fishing, why didn't you realize there would be a good chance of you placing ? Was it because you felt you were too unfamiliar with the waters ? Oh well, at least you got to be up there and fish - maybe you can plan on next year's, now that you know the water, you can really kick some pattootie. Anyway, congrats for the good catching - even if it didn't officially count.

Nice LMB Cliff. I was wondering if you were going to fish in Idaho. Guess I should have known better. Man that lake looks awesome. Shame on you for thinking you couldnt place in a tournament even on new water. My boat should be good to go when you get back so give me a call and lets git er done!

Hey I wanted to say thanks for the hat and the clinic you held on June 11. I was the big guy you borrowed a pole from for one of the kids. I learned alot...but still haven't figured dropshotting out yet...I will keep trying. Why haven't you tried to qualify before? You sound like you have a "reel" rough life just fishin' and travelin', whats the secret? j/k
