a few days at the gorge
#1
well, i spent tuesday thru friday at the gorge last week. we did pretty well for kokes and bows but only boated a few small lakers. we were trolling and had a great time.

i was able to catch my biggest koke to date on thurday night. it was 20.5 inches. great fish! i have 17 pics left to take on my old fashioned film. (when i get it developed ill post a pic or two). i need to join the digital age i guess.

i was able to get my grandpa using a downrigger- hes always used lead line. he was using my old manual and now loves it. im taking him to sportsmans to buy an electric on wed! it was a pretty easy sell when he caught his first downrigged fish in 15 seconds! it will be fun for him. he also caught a little laker, which was the first mac he had ever caught, in all of his 80 years. (he liked that!)

anyways, aside from some unsettled weather on tuesday it was a great time! i dont even know how many fish we boated, but it was up there! good to get out- hope to get back in a couple of weeks. has anyone else been up lately? coming out friday there were a million boats pulling in for the weekend- glad to beat the rush on that one!

Heading there in a couple of weeks, I have been driving the wife crazy with my preparations to go. New equipment has to be added for every fishing trip, she complains that she has no room to sleep on the boat, maybe I'll leave her home next time.
