I hiked in to King's Peak this week, and I managed to get some
fishing in as well. The fishing was hot. They were hitting almost anything, especially dry flies. Spinners were great too. I caught exactly 40 fish early thursday. Most were caught in the creek just below Lake Blanchard. Most fish were small, but there were a few nice ones. Most of the snow is gone up there, but there are a few patches left. The real problem was the mosquitos. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. I almost lost my mind just trying to escape them. The weather was perfect though, so I guess I can't complain.
