[cool]Anybody been there the past week or so? Heading up that way tomorrow for a few days to camp/fish, and escape this crappy valley heat and smog. I was just curious as to how the fishin' has been. Guess I could go to the DWR site, but their reports are usually two weeks or more behind.

[cool]Thanks, Ocean. I can't wait to get back up there. Haven't been since last year. I'm also planning on doing some 'dading/fishing at Scofield during an evening or two.

hey dude if you dont have a small boat or float tube i would stick to E-lake..huntington is not doing to good from shour right now i was there 2 days ago and fished for about 2 hrs with only one hitt to show for my time.. for just catching fish it's hard to beat E-lake they hitt all day long on the minnows and dont seam to mater to much where you fish.. i would suggest fishing about 100 to 200 yards down lake from the inlet..try a bubble with the minnow about 3 to4 feet down in the morning and evening and fish about 4 to 8 feet off the shour in the afternoon try putting on the bottom out about 20 to 30 feet from shour just watch out for the snages all over the bottom.. watch for shiners going nut's around the shour if you see them cast over by them quick and you will hook every time..i was doing that the other day up there and see the fish come right in on my bait but it was not to smart of a fish because it tryed to eat my egg sinker first..lol then after i had to pull the sinker out of it mouth it seen the minnow and attacked it right away.. but a red and white krocodile works killer when you see the shiners be chaced by a fish..
good luck to up there dude!!
BTW if you catch any rainbows up there please turn them back..they seam to be the only fish in there that can get any size to them..and by all means take a limit or 4 of the cutt's home with ya..

[cool]Hey thanks a ton, fuzzyfisher. That's really helpful stuff there. I'll have my tube with me, but I don't think any of the inlaws will, so we'll probably stick around E-Lake, and I'll release all 'bows to the water, and 4 cuts to my stringer! Can't wait to get up there where it's beautiful and a little cooler!
