The Motor works just fine
#1
[red] My Son and I decided to take the boat out to Willard tonight to try out the trolling motor, it works just fine. While we were there we fished for a while. launched from the South Marina at 7:30pm and trolled along the South Dike towards the Feed lot and circled around that area most of the time.[/red]
[#ff0000] The Water temp was 78 and we were trolling 2.8 - 3.5 mph, dragging Producers in White /with blue back and Shad Raps in white /with black back and RED hooks. Depth varied from 11 ft to 17 ft while making S-turns the whole time. didn't catch anything until around 9:15pm when we were just about to go in and I caught a Dink Wiper . I didn't keep it , shortly after that my son nailed a nice 21-incher that put up a rather good fight. Tommorrows dinner. So all in all it was a good night to be on the water. we left at 10:00pm . Hey AFD, do you drive Teroys old Ouwachita boat? Thought I saw it leaving the south marina last night. Funny thing was, them dang Wipers were boiling right in the marina! We were just out for some family fun with the skis and boards, so we didn't take any rods (stupid).

[red] Thats funny TKB, next time you see us out there or any water be sure to say hey.I'll BS with you anytime. By the way , We went back out this evening and tried our luck again. My son hooked a very nice Wiper had to be at least 24 inches, but spit the hook at the boat. Another one of those self releasing fish at Willard. That was the only hook up we had all evening.[/red]
