Deer Creek trout fishing report 07-25-05

Took the kids to DC on monday afternoon. Fished for about 3 hours and caught 6 rainbows. All 15 to 16 inches. Fished with pop gear and a worm. The kids missed twice as many hits as the hooked. They still will just pick up the pole and start reeling, forgeting to set the hook. Or they set the hook to late. But they sure get excited when they catch a fish.

I have a 21' fishing barge that recently recieved a makeover. I rhino lined the whole inside up and over the rail to the deck. The white rhino lining sstays cooler than the old green carpet that was in it. This turned out great. It took all the chatter out of the aluminum sides. During this makeover I also rearrange the seats. By doing this I was able to add a second livewell/cooler and end with more seating. It also made it so you could walk from the front of the boat to the back without having to go around seats. I have trolled up to six lines at a time with no problems. For fishing I like this boat better than the old V-hull i traded in on it. You can actually get up and walk around, without tripping over someone or something.

Kent I will gladly give you a rematch but it will need to be after the bow hunt. My days off are already filled up thru the archery hunt. I shoot you a pm in early september and we will get together for some rod bending.[]

Big J! Thats a nice fish your holding, looks like you went to Alaska or something? Where you heading for the Archery Hunt? Chuck and I are going to his honey hole for deer, I can't wait!! I haven't been archery hunting for 8years now its going to be great.

Long time since I saw you on here. Yep went to Alaska earlier this month. What a great trip. If you look back three or for pages you'll find my Alaska report. I"ll be in the same area as you and Chuck. I sometimes hunt the same canyon as Chuck. Good luck on your hunt.
