Since the Gentleman was chartered on 7/23...........I had to take a day off from fishing.
Anyway, we left the dock at 6:22 am. A few late arrivals held up the show. Capt John at the helm, DH/Capt Mike, DH Brian, PH Sean and Cathy at the Spatula.
We headed for Anacapa Island to see what was biting.
It wasn't long before we headed into some rockfish action. I worked hard to scrape up around 40. Wheeeew!!!!!
After limits were met, we headed to the Ventura flats. Mud flats that is.
There were a few sandies awaiting our arrival. My first splash yielded a suspended 7.4lb grumpy. (JP for the day)
Only a few dozen 3 to 4lb sandies were caught after that.........I forgot to mention, a few other passengers caught a total of 7 other sandies.
We returned to the docks around 4:45pm.[cool]
