We're planning a trip to Lake Powell the last part of Sept. I've searched various websites, but still need some advice on location. Should we plan on North (Bullfrog) or South (Wahweep)? What about accomodations? We may have access to a camper, but a hotel would be nice too. My preference is to stay closer to the fishing, but comfort could overrule that criteria. Any suggestions???? Thanks.

Have you checked out www.wayneswords.com ? That's the best source for up to date info on Lake Powell. Check the bulletin board and the fishing reports. What are you fishing for? Smallmouth? Stripers? Both? Anything that swims?

Wahweep, has both better fishing and comfort.

If your looking for comfort ie a hotel go to Wahweep. Page Arizona is 5 to 10 minutes away and you should be able to get a room there. I go Bullfrog in the summer but I have trailer to say in. I've stayed at Wahweep in November / December and the fishing can be good there then. Ithink though that the fishing can be good all over the lake.
