Maniac Custom Lures
#1
[crazy] [red]I have heard some of you out there talk about the Maniac Custom Lures. After checking out the website, I am curious as to your opinions of the Lures. I am interested in them but would just like to hear from some that use them now. [/red]

I have used them and winnings in ABA and other tor. and fish them a lot I buy them by the 50 to 100 packs sink-os and worms I'm waiting for his grubs in 4 in. (GREAT BATES)
They hold up very good and the fish hold on to them for what seems like a longer time from a 1-- to --10 I give them a 10.

I've just started using 4" salt sticks (maniac brand) this year and have been impressed. I've caught smallmouth, largemouth, and wipers on them. Wipers will smack 'em good if you rig weightless and do a "walk the dog" style presentation (you do need to cut them down to match the size of the baby shad at the time you're fishing them)

What's cool is James (Owner,Maniac) has some unique colors that aren't being commercially produced so it's something the fish haven't seen a ton of yet.

Buy 'em and try 'em. You'll like what you see.

If you guys like the lures I have available now, just wait untill you see the custom curl tail grubs, that I will have available later this year! The bass just eat em up! For you walleye guys, I would like to know what color combo's you prefer?
Thanks for the good review!
Cliff I'm affraid you will have to wait a couple months for the grubs, I'm working out the details!

Hey dan, you know you can trust me.
Maniac stuff?
Its THE STUFF.
I really like the stuff.
You can pick it up just about anywhere, sportsmans whse stocks about six different colors in stick worms in 3 and 4 inch.
They also stock the reapers in the smaller size, and they stock the creature craws like the smallie beavers.

Smith and edwards stocks them, hooked in kaysville stocks them, theres a bunch more places that stock them, but those are the local ones.

Leaky has been doing real well on the reapers for bass.
I know he has been trying the new maniac creature baits as well.

Its top shelf stuff.

Just ask senko nate, I think he changed his name to maniac nate after he got hooked on maniacs and they started getting him the five pounders at jordanelle.

I've been using his 2.5 in reaper witha slight modifiacation (I split his paddle tail) and have been doing well on smallies. They sure are less expensive then the common brands and at this point I'd say they work better! Just started trying another plastic that I don't know the name of. It's a ribbed grub with a big paddle tail and appendiges. They were suggested to me by Predator. I remove the appendiges, split the big ribbed paddle tail and end up with a kind of pulse worm thing and did well on it the 1st time I tried it. Maniac - a pulse worm design, if not too big works good on those smallies. Any comments?
I've been fishing Pineview so I can fish with Sparky. It's not a state park and apparently I don't have to keep him on a leash, (difficult in a tube) at least in the remote areas I fish on the lake.

Hey Bearlakemack! I am looking into making tubes, but haven't decided anything yet! Most likely sometime in the future, I have too many things in the fire right now! Do you like them salted or no salt?
Hey Leaky, I haven't had one in my hand yet so, I can't take it any further!

maniac, I have his pulse worm, and a blank mold for it, I just lost my ability to make the mold when I changed jobs.

Security thing.

I too have a vast supply of Maniac's.

I don't leave home without them.

[black]I use them for vertical jigging so salt is really not an issue. I'd like to see someone compete with Canyon Plastics and the 5", 6" and Tora tubes. I've got a few ideas about colors too that aren't offered in the large tubes. I'm sure there are a lot of other guys that would like to see tubes to chase big macks with in colors that work in our ponds.[/black]
