Fished Jordanelle on Sunday with my nephew and his grandad. My nephew is in the army stationed in Texas and was up for a visit. We were on Jordanelle from 6:45 a.m. to noon and caught a lot of perch up in the canyons using smoke-colored twisters on 1/16 oz jig heads in 20 feet of water casting to the bank and getting bit on the drop. Grandad caught a nice smallie on a twister, too, and my nephew netted it just as the hook came out! Caught a few other smallies on soft rapalas that we fished very slow and parallel to the bank in about 25 feet of water. Had to change lures three times because the tails were bitten off. We Had a great time.
Thanks go to Chumbucket and Garbageman for their advice. Hope to hit the Berry this weekend if the weather cooperates.
Tight Lines and no snags.
