hittin deer creek tomorrow, any tips?

after three weeks without fishin, i'm going to try my luck on deer creek tomorrow for the first time scince april. i read a post about deer creek a page or two back that mentioned good sucess on the west side for smallies pitchin tubes and rapallas in about 20' of water. sounds like just what i need. anyone been there lately, and if so, has the action changed?
