[cool]Just wondering. I'm really getting the itch to chase them 'eyes next Saturday (24th) from my tube. If you don't want the whole board to know about your success (or lack of) then send me a p.m. about your trip. Won't tell a soul, promise![unimpressed]

Hey Out4Trout,
Fairwayphilly and I were there Sunday evening. The wind was too strong to get out too far in the water, so we hunkered down in a little sheltered cove just around the corner from the ramp area. All we caught were white bass and a micro bluegill - no walleyes, but we weren't in what I would call "eye territory". However, if we could have gotten out in the waves against the rocks and been able to negotiate it, there may have been some walleye action - they like the splashing that is created by the wave action and the confusion that it causes for the small fish that they prey on.
You can read my report on it here:

I was there last saturday but the wind was awful! I went monday after work and nailed 4 white bass. There was a lot of active carp too.I threw a carp minnow and let it soak for 3 hours and not a hit.I also about crap my pants though! [shocked] This huge largemouth jumped about 2 feet from were i was catching white bass and scared me silly. It had to be pushing over 7lbs easy. I should have thrown some spinner baits at him but i didnt i just wanted some whities for dinner. He was to big to keep anyway.I am gonna try it wednesday again hopefully the fishing is better. There was 2 boats out and one guy wading by the springs.Thats all the people that were there.

[cool]Fishhound: Woops, sorry about that. I actually read your report earlier, just thought it was from Saturday, not Sunday. Glad you guys at least caught some whities.
CBR: I'm looking forward to Saturday too, man! It's gonna be a blast.
Ocean: Thanks for the report, dude. Hope you do well this Wednesday. If you are fishing from shore, you should do well, as the weather is supposed to get a little rainy and windy. Might be just the trick to get some 'eyes closer to shore. Might wanna take some waders. Good luck!

[cool]Hey Gary, you in on the Saturday floatilla? So far it's CBR, BassAckwards, and me. We'd love to have ya along if you can make it. Any other tubers/pontooners from this board are welcome as well! I'll be launching at around 5:30 from right around the "L" just past the 3rd springs area.
There's a way to drive down to it if you turn off at the 3rd springs area (by the old crappy cinderblock building) and go down a few yards you run into a dirt road that runs parallel with the lake shore. If you follow that road it will take you down a little hill by the water and then paralell with the water again. This gets you right down where you can launch around the "L" area.
If you have a pickup/S.U.V. then you can just drive around the corner on the main road and go to about the end of the orchard. Then there is a very rough gravelly dirt road that goes down to the lake from there. This road was o.k. for cars (barely) last fall when we had a floatilla then, but it now contains about 2 feet deep holes in it near the top that make it impossible for cars to get back out, so don't take it if you have a car. I found that out the hard way last May, so you all can thank me later.
Anyway, hope to see some of the rest of you there. Fishing should be great!

Hey Out4Trout,
Does that invite still hold for a hound of a tooner ? If I can scheme a way to be there I will attempt it.
BTW - Have you checked the weather forcast for that day yet ? Look on the accuweather.com web site for Provo that day.

[cool]Of coarse it does! Bring both of your hounds! Just put 'em in your boat with some snacks for them and COME ON OUT! We'd love to have you along, fishhound!

[cool]Guess I'll be fishing solo then. Doesn't bother me none-I'm not a-scared! I'll take my tube, but if it's very windy then I'll just fish in my waders from shore. I want to catch some 'eyes, and I'm gonna catch some! Hope the wind is coming from the North to bring them in to shore.

Watch the weather and have an alternative plan. As you know the forcast is not always accurate and Lincoln beach is not the only place to catch walleyes. If it is doable, I am still interested if it is at all possible or if an alternative is feasible.
BTW - The hounds don't fit on any watercraft smaller than an aircraft carrier - they both need to look over the same side at the same time - I haven't seen many boats on Utah Lake that would handle that, especially if someone had to lean over the side to handle a fish with the help they want to give. No, they are land lubber hounds. Though, I might be able to wade in the surf and fish - they are not terribly fond of waves as I've noticed.

[cool]I just checked the accuweather forcast for SPANISH FORK, and it's saying a high of 69 with wind gusts up to 14 mph from the northeast. Here's the link to that:
[url "http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&myadc=0&traveler=1&zipcode=84660&metric=0"]http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&myadc=0&traveler=1&zipcode=84660&metric=0[/url]
KSL is saying 75 degrees and partly cloudy. Sounds like good walleye fishing weather to me, but to each his own.
Guess that's more fish for me to catch. Who needs you guys anyway?[ ][ ](this means just kidding-have to signify that on THIS BOARD these days).
Anyway, good luck with wherever you guys are going. I'll be in my tube at Lincoln catching walleyes (hopefully) and big K's and whities.
