Pineview Tiger Musky Update 7-10 Oct 2005
#1
Was able to get out for about 12 hours over the 4 day period. Caught one 35", 2 fishing partners each caught one, 31", 34".
All fish were caught on small, darker colored, broken back rapalla's from shore, no action trolling.
I tossed probably 20 different lures, and only the small, 2.5" lures produced any results. In fact, the one I caught was on a shad rap I use at Willard. It hit in about 3 feet of water off a rock point.

I also caught one perch, and snagged one fugly carp. There has been a recent perch hatch, and they are running about 2-2.5" long, hence the action on the small lures.

If walking the shore, make sure you are 10 -15 feet away from the shore, for the tigers are hitting within 10 feet of shore... outta sight, outta mind...

Sunday was a double header of sorts.... The first guy I met had been fishin' since 4 a.m., and he was near frozen, however he had caught a 59" about 3 weeks ago. The next guy I met had caught about 3000 tigers, the biggest being 54". So, both guys beat the state record...Think I found UT Commander's sibling.

Thanks for the update on the Tigers. I don't think any of the UTC's siblings would know how to catch a tiger! They are powerbait masters![Wink]
