Weber River report
#1
Fished the Weber on saturday and Sunday. The water is low and clear,Fishing was hot!!! No hatches to speak of but the nymphing was great. I was teaching a fly fishing class and the students could not miss with Glo bugs, larva lace caddis, hares ears,Irish springs.
When I was done teaching I went out for myself on sunday to the Hennifer area, the white fish were stacked up thick in the deeper pools. I caught 1 Bonniville Cutt and a couple of Browns along with all the White Fish. 18 Barber scud and 14 red crotch cricket were my best patterns along with a few catches on 16 red seredipity,14 golden stone. Moss was not as bad as it was the week before.

I fished the same general area today with my son. We also picked up a few Browns and Whitefish all day long. Caddis nymph and serendipity also worked for me. I even picked up a few on a Copper John. The back side of the Wasatch Mountains were awesome with the white caps.
We also had some HARD WATER showing up on the edges. Not much longer for the real fishing to start!!!
