How thick is the ice? Naughton has been on my list since before my Bro-in-law moved away from there. Could be an option for this weekend.

O4T- I grew up in Kemmerer and make it up to Viva Naughton all the time. My parents still live up there. Just jump in the back and hold on one of these days! [Smile]

[Smile]And the answer is:...
Listen to Fishley since he knows best!! You got it!

The pictures were from Saturday. The whole lake was ice capped and we had it all to ourselves! There was about 2.5 to 3.0 inches on the main lake by the boat ramp and from 2.5 to 5 inches in the bay by the dam. The fishing was decent for this pond..3 fish caught, 2 lost at the hole, one broken off, and about 10 missed bites (preseason learning curve). From my limited exerience with this pond, it is usually good for a few weeks after ice on and then the fishing really tapers off (like Scolfield). The larger of my fish was average for this lake.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that the Gorge 'can't be frozen yet'...Just that there is probably only some 'scaaaaary ice' (the best kind IMO) in the back of a few select bays on the far north end of the lake.

Those are some nice looking fish. I hope to make it up there in the next year to drill some holes. Thanks for the WY report, I enjoy hearing reports up north.
