Deer creek 12/6/5
#1
It was a bugger getting up Daniels canyon, slow traffic because of the snow storm. Put the boat in at abot 9:30 and a little trouble getting the truck up the snowy ramp in 4 wheel drive. fished in a big blizzard till about noon. Caught 2 browns and a bunch of bows. There were a lot of fish showing on the finder, most weren't biting. But enough to keep it fun. The air temp was 20, water temp 43, no ice enywhere. Caught a few big ones 18 inches and up to 20. One really nice brown. We were the only boat on the pond. Had to chain up to get the boat out of the water. The only thing that saved out butts was the C dory we were fishing in has a full cab and a heater. We kept it around 70 degrees. But it was sure cold on your hands when you had to go out to catch a fish or to change lures. What a great day on the water. We hope it,s not the last this season. Maybe one more trip to the Gorge and maybe deercreek again before we get out the snowmobile and start walking on the water.
