Wabbites! Wabbits everwhere but not a single taker!
But we sure found a few of those darn pesky old Mac at FG. Ok so I lied! Theres lots of those wascally wabbits to be found but them dang Mac keep stepping in front of the hook.

Friday afternoon the ice looked sweet and the Bow bite was the same just before dark. And their good eats when combined with a nice Elk steak.

Saturday morn we launched the boat in air temps of -2 and the bite started slow altho we'd found fish from the get-go. By 10am we'd boat a couple nice dinks in the 20lb class along with a few smaller and we'd also had a hog pull loose. Noon found us on the far side of the pond sucking up a picnic and sun shine. By 2pm we'd had enough rest to put our poor old shoulders back to work and go back and working the Mac. I think we'd boat either 2 or 3 more 20's before dark. (Lucky for me I only got me hands wet once durning the day and was able to park my butt near the back deck to take in as much shine as I could.)

Sunday proved to be to nice a day to waste on serious Mac fishing so we played around long enough to boat one close to 30lb and a 15lb pup before we went and chace down the wascally wabbits again. But in the end those wascally wabbits won out. I couldnt get a single wabbit to bite my 8/0 hook no matter how many times I casted it at them...
Dang those old wascallys!
